William C. Fanjoy, Barrister & Solicitor

William C. Fanjoy is a senior family law practitioner who is well-recognized and well respected in the Toronto legal community. For over thirty years he has successfully represented clients in various litigation matters. William concentrates his practice exclusively in the area of family law which allows him assist clients in key areas of family law, including:

  • Divorce

  • Child custody and access

  • Child and spousal support

  • Cohabitation and Marriage Contracts

  • Property division

  • Separation agreements

  • Complex financial matters and Business interests

  • Collaborative Practice

William did his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario and Wilfrid Laurier University. He obtained his LL.B from the University of Windsor.  

William has done training in mediation and collaborative law and brings those skills to his practice in an effort to help clients settle matters without the need for court proceedings. Through negotiation, he strives to reach a settlement which is favorable to his clients’ needs resulting in less cost and stress to his clients. However, in those cases that require the use of the judicial or arbitration process he will diligently and assertively advance a client’s interests, utilizing his years of experience in the courtroom.

William understands that any matrimonial matter can be emotionally stressful and he strives to meet client expectations by providing clear, straight-forward recommendations and advice.

Outside of the office, William enjoys squash, cycling, golf, traveling, reading, wine tasting, and spending time with his family. He and his wife are very proud of their daughters, one of whom is a high school teacher and the other who has followed her parents into the practice of law.
